Summer Hummanities Institutes: Bunche Center for African American Studies
This eight-week preparatory program is designed to enhance the competencies of students who plan to pursue a Ph.D. in the humanities or humanistic social sciences (anthropology, art history, cultural/critical studies, ethnomusicology, history, literature, political science, sociology), and includes seminars, skills workshops, research, and immersion activities in the Los Angeles African-American culture.

1. 2007 MA and MA/JD Application deadline extended to January 15th, 2007. (www.gdnet.ucla.edu)

2. Deadline for Fellowship applications for continuing MA students is on January 12th, 2007.

3. Summer Humanities Institute applications will be due on February 2nd, 2007.
